Good morning space fans! Your timely and reliable delivery service has our thrusters set at full as we had another very successful morning. Last night Rich Banks the Heavy Machinery purchased a brand new Caterpillar for Astral Wizard, He'll be leading the afternoon crew so please give him a ping if you see him online to join his crew or fly escort.  With a little less starting capital Rich, El Dio, and SQ headed back to Tram and Myers to ramp up to the big bucks. Myself, Selwyn and Hoogie continued to map out Hurston and Arial, though our initial impressions seem to indicate that the Laranite doesn't replenish fast enough to supply Lorville's demand. AstralWizard joined up with us today, and with the help of Morgolf we were able to have three caterpillars running securing all the laranite locations. This is a great achievement, and one we hop to continue! The next step is to map out additional routes so as to build our trading network and scale up for more players. Timbur's Log, Today I started of with Tram & Myers and found that the demand was already satisfied at Port Olisar for Diamond, so I went on down to Wala to pick up some laranite and haul it to Area 18. I managed to do just a few trips and made of 528,000 in just a few trips. The downside is that Area 18 is so far away from Port Olisar, and where most players hang out, so I had to make the trek back. I've got to remember to haul scrap back to Port Olisar when I go, as I keep forgetting. currently with interdiction, it seems pretty common to get interdicted at least 3 times when traveling between ArcCorp and Crusader, where your much less likely to get interdicted when you are just in a single planetary system. It would be interesting to figure out if certain routes are more likely to have interdiction as compared to other or is it just all completely random. Teaming up with SQ, Selwyn and Rich_Banks, we wanted to test scaling up our cargo operations to see if flying a command ship, plus multiple cargo ships would result in a faster profit per minute. The theory comes from the long transit times running to and from the buy and sell console. If we give this job to only ONE ship owner, could we spawn multiple cargo vessels while still sharing the same minimum time running from ship to console? The ideal run would have the command ship arriving before the cargo vessels to buy and sell at the trade console the second the cargo ship arrives. An added advantage is that multiple cargo ships could also be added to the route to multiply the profit of the run.
