Timbur's Log, Today was a good day for trading, I teamed up with my epic brand of brothers, Selwyn_Lindquist, and Rich_Banks. We were able to double team Laranite, covering Wala and Cellin. (We basically have a monopoly on the Laranite supply in Stanton). We were also joined by Zarian_Reese who we managed to trick into running cargo with us. (It wasn't so bad was it Zarian?) We also teamed up with Blue_Rath and Dewd who teamed up to clear Blue's crime stat again. Better keep a sharp eye on Blue.

Right, so today we set a Goal of trying to earn 750,000 credits. I figured I could do that in 4 trips at 200k a trip. But after teaming up with Selwyn, we knocked out over 894,000 in only 3 runs. Add in Rich's new balance of 2.5, and that gives us a profit of nearly 1.6 million today alone, and that's just a few hours of trading. I'll see you in the verse my friends.

Testing the Mantis, Snared a Cat

With the introduction to the Mantis in game, it's quite the formidable opponent if used correctly. Today we look at just how quickly it can take out a caterpillar and we were surpirsed to see it fit insdie the 890 Jump. We had to test the new quantum interdiction mechanics, for science! Only a few innocent ships were hurt in the making of this video. If you can't see the video above, here is the link .  https://youtu.be/3huGXaqWME0 Screenshot by Rich_Banks aboard his Vanguard Harbinger with the kill shot.   Flying with my Co-Pilots, my one and two year old sons sitting on my lap, my fearless cargo team and I wrangled us up a shiny caterpillar.  She didn't stay that way for long. My apologies for the shoddy flying, but only the best pilots can do this while holding two babies. This is some quality family time. A shout-out goes to Rich and Dio, Ace Pilots. Oh this video is dedicated to my good friend Scarlet, this is how you take out a Drake Caterpillar ...

Timbur's Log, Today I started of with Tram & Myers and found that the demand was already satisfied at Port Olisar for Diamond, so I went on down to Wala to pick up some laranite and haul it to Area 18. I managed to do just a few trips and made of 528,000 in just a few trips. The downside is that Area 18 is so far away from Port Olisar, and where most players hang out, so I had to make the trek back. I've got to remember to haul scrap back to Port Olisar when I go, as I keep forgetting. currently with interdiction, it seems pretty common to get interdicted at least 3 times when traveling between ArcCorp and Crusader, where your much less likely to get interdicted when you are just in a single planetary system. It would be interesting to figure out if certain routes are more likely to have interdiction as compared to other or is it just all completely random. Today I team up BlueRath, Selwyn, Dewderonomy and El_Dio. The first task, apart from me taking forever to get back t...

Timbur's Log 19 Nov 2949

Teaming up with SQ, Selwyn and Rich_Banks, we wanted to test scaling up our cargo operations to see if flying a command ship, plus multiple cargo ships would result in a faster profit per minute. The theory comes from the long transit times running to and from the buy and sell console. If we give this job to only ONE ship owner, could we spawn multiple cargo vessels while still sharing the same minimum time running from ship to console? The ideal run would have the command ship arriving before the cargo vessels to buy and sell at the trade console the second the cargo ship arrives. An added advantage is that multiple cargo ships could also be added to the route to multiply the profit of the run. Factor in the high supply and demand for some commodities, we can push them to their limits with this method. An example how having a lead ship could double profits and shorten loop time The standard method of hauling cargo is by having two players on one caterpillar. The Owner and the ...
